A 14-year-old pupil from St Albans Girls’ School has started a government petition calling for mental health wellbeing and first aid training to be made compulsory for all school staff across England - teaching, support and non-teaching staff.
It’s great to see young people speaking up about the importance of these life-saving skills.
At Safety Train, we strongly believe the more people who understand both mental health first aid and first aid, the safer our communities will be.
Through the Safety Train LifeSkills project, we visit schools and youth organisations to teach children first aid and life-saving skills as part of our community project. Children learn quickly and often remember these skills for life.
If your school or organisation would like to be part of the LifeSkills project, please get in touch.
Safety Train’s mission is simple – teach as many adults and children as possible the skills they need to help save lives.
