The poor weather is not helping our lower backs at the moment ๐ฉ
With poor weather usually comes more time inside and less time moving, which means more lower back stiffness and symptoms ๐
Here is a fantastic sequence we have been doing in classes with the foam rollers this week ๐ this sequence can be done with a cushion, blocks or some other form of elevation, but the solid feel of the roller is really nice across that sacral area of your lower back ๐ฅฐ
Lots of clients have reported instantly easier feeling lower backs following this exercise sequence so give it a try!
- Repeated single leg reaches, getting the heel as close to the floor as you can, with both legs
- Repeated single leg straight leg lift/lower, getting the heel as close to the floor as you can, with both legs
- Alternating and reciprocal single leg reaches, getting the heel as close to the floor as you can from the double table top position
- Straight leg scissor swaps, getting each heel as close to the floor as you can
