We talk a lot about disability access and support.
Ramps. Lifts. Disabled parking bays.
But for many people living with a disability or long term condition, support is also:
Someone checking in.
Someone making a cup of tea without being asked.
Someone noticing when you are tired and not pushing.
Someone checking the venue properly, not assuming it will be fine.
Someone picking up your prescription.
Someone walking at your pace.
Someone asking how they can help.
Someone listening, instead of telling you what you should try.
These are not nice extras.
They are often the difference between going out and staying home.
Between managing and completely running out of energy.
Between feeling like a burden and feeling understood.
The smallest acts of thoughtfulness really can have the biggest impact.
If this resonates, please share it.
The more we talk about the little things, the bigger the difference we will make 💜
