Living authentically, creating inclusive healthcare, with a message of kindness and hope.
Transgender Awareness Week (13-19 November).
This week, we’re proud to share the inspiring story of Ruy Jardin, a neuro theatre nurse at The Walton Centre in Liverpool.
Born in Cebu, Philippines, Ruy’s nursing journey has taken her across the world - from intensive care in South America to theatre nursing in the Bahamas, and now to the UK.
Ruy spoke to us about her experiences, her passion for patient care, and why creating inclusive, respectful environments for transgender patients and colleagues is vital in healthcare.
Her story is a reminder that when we embrace diversity, we strengthen our teams, our practice, and the care we provide.
