Before we break the moulds, we'll fill them with delicious milk chocolate. Then we'll add sprinkles or mini marshmellows...or BOTH!🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

Then, at Heath Lodge, we wait for the chocolate to set. ⌛⌛⌛

The best bit comes next when we break the moulds - just to gain a little taste, of course! 👌😉

'Cake of the Week' - We're Confused! 🤔🤔🤔

Normally our 'Cake of the Week' ususually stands alone as an utterly delicious and very popular temptation. (Pictured here is the freshly, inhouse-baked, classic Victoria Sponge - and it's going fast!!!) However, our display cabinet has suddenly expanded to include a veritable pastry shop full of sweet goodies: cup cakes, brownies and biscoff-and-cream doughnuts! 🥳🍰🥳🍰🥳🍰

At only £1 for a slice of cake and the other pastries priced at just 50p, there's absolutely no reason not to come to our cafe at The Cuttings for a tea and a treat. It's open to the public from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm,
7 days per week. 👌🙂

Tea/Coffee: £1.20

Cappucino/Latte/Hot Chocolate: £2.20

Remembrance Day - Our Knitters Lend a Helping Hand! 🙌

Our Knit-N-Natter Club members have been been busy over the past weeks knitting poppies to sell for the Royal British Legion! 💪💪💪

We're very proud of the effort they've put in - the knitted poppies have been very popular with our residents, visitors and staff. And chatting about the various colours has brought about some deep and sensitive discussions: white one for peace, purple for animals that have helped the armed services in their struggles. And, of course, the red poppies to remember the men and women who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world. 🙏🙏🙏

Late Autumn Pickings 🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏

The weather has definitely changed. Colder days and darker afternoons might suggest a slowing down in the garden but picking apples and veg still keeps us busy outside.

Once inside, however, where it's nice and warm, we're trying to decide whether we should polish our apples before displaying them, or just eat them! 🤔

As we wrap up meals on wheels week here at Harrogate Neighbours Housing Association Ltd. we were thrilled to have some last minute visitors to help us deliver our meals!
Our local MP Tom Gordon took our trusty EV for a spin around the town, while Chloe Wilmot (from Stratstone BMW and Mini Garage) and Simon Keenlyside (from Rapid Repair Drain Care) came along to show off their brilliant MINIs!
Our regular volunteers were treated to a ride in a brand new (or vintage) motor, and Tom got the pleasure of Jamie's company as we cruised the streets!
Thank you so much to all our guest volunteers this year - I hope it was an interesting experience and helped you see how important what we do is to our customers.
