Harrogate Neighbours We provide outstanding care and support services to the elderly in Harrogate and the surrounding areas.

Harrogate Neighbours runs two of the best elderly care homes in Harrogate and the surrounding area. The Cuttings is our extra care housing in Starbeck, which offers independent living and 24 hour support as well as a new Day Care centre for elderly people to come and socialise. Heath Lodge is our residential home in Boroughbridge, which offers additional care for those with dementia. We also support our community through Greenfield Court Care, a highly rated home care service for those who want to stay at home but need a bit of help, and our meals on wheels service which delivers hot, fresh meals to elderly or vulnerable people 5 days a week. Finally, we have our Community Hub, dedicated to serving the local area with support and help.

Making Daffodils for the Great Daffodil Appeal 🌼🌼🌼

At Heath Lodge we have been we've been turning our ideas into reality: peeling apples and chopping up stalks of rhubarb to fill some rolled out pastry. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

With a sprinkling of crumble mix on top, they are ready for the oven. 🔥👨‍🍳👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Absolutely delicious with some ice cream! 👌🙂

With Spring very much here, our friends at Open Country have started working with our residents again. They are a wonderful organisation that helps people with disabilities to get out there, into the wilds, and enjoy nature as much as possible.

Open Country has been a long time supporter of Harrogate Neighbours, inviting our residents to get their hands nice and dirty helping out on their allotments. As you can see from the photo, this is PRE planting seeds!

We did it!
Last week we set ourselves a target of raising £250 for Comic Relief.
We are proud to say that after our 2 days of fundraising, our generous online donations, combined with our bucket rattling, have resulted in a whopping £255 being raised!
Well done to everyone who contributed to the effort by wearing red, cycling part of our 100 mile cycle ride, and donated to the fantastic cause!

One way to tempt the sun into shining is to plant sunflowers! 🙏🙏🙏

Kind students from Queen Ethelburgas Collegiate joined our residents at Heath Lodge to help them prepare the pots and plant the seeds. 🌻🌻🌻

Now we just have to wait for them to grow and follow the sun. 😎
