New Walk- In Blood Clinic Now Available

We are offering a walk-in blood Clinic at Leeds Road Surgery. This service is only for patients who have been asked by the Surgery to have a blood test

This service will start on 5th May and will run every weekday at the following times:
Monday 09.00am - 11.00am
Tuesday 09.00am - 11.00am
Wednesday 09.00am - 11.00am
Thursday 07.30am - 09.30am
Friday 11.30am - 1.30pm

No appointment is needed; however, you must bring your blood test form with you, or have been advised to attend and the form has already been generated

Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics Now Open!😷💉🩹

Both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available through the NHS for those at higher risk of severe illness. Eligibility criteria are set by the UK Health Security Agency and include:

Adults aged 65 and over

Residents in care homes

People aged 6 months to 64 years in clinical risk groups

Pregnant Women

Be Breast Aware this October!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an important time to be "breast aware" by regularly checking your breasts or chest to notice any unusual changes.
Touch, Look, Check!
Why is it important to be breast aware?
Checking your breasts for any unusual changes can help discover breast cancer early. It’s important to recognise when something’s not right.
Symptoms of breast cancer
- A lump or area of thickened tissue in either breast.
- A change in the size or shape of one or both breasts.
- Discharge from either of your ni***es (which may be streaked with blood)
- A lump or swelling in either of your armpits.
- Dimpling on the skin of your breasts.
- A rash on or around your ni**le.

Protect Your Baby from Whooping Cough! 🍼
Having a baby? Midwives are urging you to get vaccinated against whooping cough during pregnancy. This weekend, it was announced that a baby had died of whooping cough after its mother did not receive the vaccine.
Whooping cough is a serious infection that can cause long bouts of coughing and choking, making it hard to breathe. Vaccination during pregnancy passes immunity to your baby, protecting them until they receive their own vaccination at eight weeks old.
Get vaccinated around the time of your mid-pregnancy scan, usually at 20 weeks, but you can have it from 16 weeks.
