Today, we had the honour of conducting a funeral service for a retired firefighter—a truly fitting tribute to a life of service. Colleagues stood in respect along the route, and a fire engine accompanied him on his final journey.

His family and the Fire Service did him proud, creating a heartfelt and dignified farewell to someone who gave so much to others. A keen climber and skier, the family chose a bespoke coffin that beautifully reflected his passions and spirit.

A remarkable send-off for a remarkable life.

This week, we had the honour and privilege of conducting the funeral service for a true Harrogate icon, former Mayor of Harrogate, Bob Nash.
Born and raised in the town, Bob lived all 92 years of his life in Harrogate and devoted himself wholeheartedly to its civic, cultural, and sporting communities. The remarkable attendance at his service was a testament to the profound impact he had and the deep respect in which he was held.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a much-loved Knaresborough lady, who served as Town Crier on many proud occasions.
She passed away peacefully at Thistle Hill Care Home on 4th September 2025, aged 90 years.
A cherished member of the community, she will be remembered for her warmth, spirit, and the joy she brought to many through her role and presence in the town.
Her funeral will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Knaresborough, on Wednesday 8th October at 1:00pm.
All are warmly welcome to attend.
Please wear a hint of lilac colour in her memory.

This week, we had the honour of providing four beautiful horses for the funeral service for a local man. . It was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful tribute.

So proud of these four for braving the cold, wind, and rain to complete the St. Michael’s Midnight Walk last night! 🌧️🌙💪
They walked with determination and heart, raising valuable funds for the incredible work that St. Michael’s does every day.
Although Sonya couldn’t be there due to unforeseen circumstances, she was very much with them in spirit. 💛
A huge well done to all involved — what an amazing achievement for such a worthy cause!
