Hello baby chicks 🩷 welcome to the Granby family. Our chicks arrived yesterday and we was told it would be late Wednesday they would be hatching. But these little babies couldn’t wait to say hello to our residents who have been on chick watch all day! So far we have welcomed 5 chicks, we have two more to go. 🤞🏽We will see what tomorrow brings🐣🐣🐥🐥

🐾 Meet Peggy, the Granby Pat Dog 🐾

Peggy delighted our residents last week with a special meet and greet, and he’s already looking forward to coming back! He’ll be visiting again this Wednesday at 2pm, making his way around the building from our lounges to residents’ rooms.

Peggy may have a girl’s name, but he’s definitely a boy—with the calmest, most loving personality. He absolutely adores cuddles, and we can’t wait to spend more time with him and his pup mum, Jessica.

Jessica is incredibly proud of Peggy’s journey. Born with just three legs (which inspired his name), he’s grown into the happy, thriving boy we all love today.

If you’re visiting the home this Wednesday around 2pm, please do come and say hello! Peggy will be joining us every Wednesday at 2pm, starting from reception—we hope to see you there. 🐶💛

Friday 20th March

Our Activities Coordinator, Lydia, planned a fun-filled morning shopping trip for David. They headed into the bustling town centre of Harrogate, where there was so much to see and explore. David was absolutely thrilled from the moment they arrived, full of excitement and big smiles!

Without hesitation, he knew exactly what he wanted—his favourite characters, Minnie and Mickey Mouse! It was the highlight of his trip, and he couldn’t wait to take them home. A fantastic morning full of joy, laughter, and a little bit of Disney magic!

What a beautiful start to spring! Yesterday was absolutely glorious—we couldn’t believe it. We made the most of the sunshine, knowing the colder weather will be back soon.

We spent the day out in the garden, playing Scrabble, sketching what we could see, and simply relaxing and soaking it all in. Then we had a lovely surprise visit from Peggy the beautiful black Labrador and his wonderful mum, Jessica.

It was such a delight to meet you both, and we really enjoyed hearing Peggy’s story. We’re already looking forward to seeing you again soon! 🌸☀️🐾
