A Wonderful Intergenerational Morning at Broadway.

Broadway Nursing and Residential - Liverpool, welcomed the children from St Matthew’s Primary School for a lovely intergenerational craft session, creating bright red poppies together for Remembrance Day. 🖌️🎨

Intergenerational visits bring so many benefits.

Children bring energy, curiosity and warmth into the home, and our residents light up when they’re around them.

The conversations, the shared creativity, and just spending time together creates moments that both generations love.

We love the look on faces when the children arrive, these connections mean so much 🩷💚

The Power of Music in Our Homes 🎶🎧🪗

Music has a unique way of connecting people, especially those living with dementia. A familiar tune can spark a memory, lift a mood and create a feeling of comfort.

The same happens when someone picks up a tambourine or shaker, instinct takes over, and you see rhythm, expression and confidence come alive.

Across our We Care Group and Summit Care Group homes, music is used in so many meaningful ways and we see its impact time and time again. 🩷💚

Our wonderful Kenneth, resident at Mahogany Care Home, made headlines for his 100th Birthday celebrations! 🩷💚

In September, we celebrated a remarkable gentleman, Kenneth from Mahogany Care Home, as he celebrated his 100th birthday. 🎈

Kenneth had a brilliant day surrounded by the Mahogany team, 30 members of his family, including his 9 great-great-grandchildren, and a party at the home.

Kenneth is a proud former WW2 army engineer and much-loved great-great-grandfather, he marked his special day with family, friends, balloons, cake, and a card from the King and Queen. 🎉🎂🎈
