We’re so proud to share that Kelly was recently interviewed on BBC Gloucestershire, where she spoke openly about her first 18 months as a foster carer.

Kelly reflected on both the rewards and challenges of fostering, from setting boundaries and establishing a routine, to navigating the emotional ups and downs that come with the role.

Her honesty highlights something so important: fostering isn’t always easy, but it is incredibly meaningful. With the right support, patience, and compassion, it can truly change lives, both for the children and the carers themselves.

Thank you, Kelly and Ross, for making a difference every single day 💙

There are a few important steps to consider when planning a holiday. 🏖️

Children in foster care are in the care of the local authority, who act as their legal guardian. This means that before you book a holiday, you will need to seek permission to take a child on holiday with you, and this must be agreed in advance.

Some children may have never been abroad or even have a passport, so there's lots to think about, and the child will still need their own bedroom. A break away in the UK can be a great holiday and a positive way for a child to take in new experiences for the first time. 💚

🎙️ We recently had the opportunity to speak on a radio interview about an important topic — why children come into care.

Every child’s story is unique, but often the reasons include:
*Experiences of neglect or abuse
*Family breakdown or instability
*Parents struggling with mental health or addiction
*Situations where families need extra support to keep children safe

It’s never a simple decision, and it’s always made with one priority in mind: the safety and wellbeing of the child.

If you’ve ever considered fostering or want to learn more, give us a call on 0800 389 0143 — we’d love to hear from you ☎️

We love receiving feedback like this! 🌟

A professional recently shared their experience of working with one of our fostering households, describing the carers as “a credit to the agency” and highlighting how well supported they feel.

They also recognised our strong commitment to partnership working and the way our team stays actively involved in the wider professional network to strengthen support around each child.

We’re proud of our foster carers and staff who work together every day to create safe, stable and nurturing homes for children. 💙

"They need to be part of your family, treated the same as everyone else"💙

Making a child feel included, valued and truly at home can make all the difference.

Thinking about fostering? Denise's number one piece of advice?💭
