Chatturanga Dandasana ✨
Chaturanga Dandasana is about technique and strength but it can be hard to get right.

To build strength, the most important thing is choosing a variation that allows correct alignment. Keeping the knees lifted before the strength is there often leads to elbows flaring, shoulders dipping too low and weight shifting too far back.

Because we want to build strength safely, here are some options:
-Lower the knees and practice a knees-down Chaturanga. This keeps the elbows hugging in, shoulders supported, and core engaged — building the exact strength needed for a full Chaturanga and eventually being able to do it without the knees.

• Or lower the chest all the way to the mat, still keeping the elbows hugged in as you descend, then release fully to the mat and press up into Cobra Pose (not up-dog) This is a good option if you’re tired and shoulders are tired but not the best option to build the strength needed for Chatturanga over time.

Myself & Jenny wanted to offer something a little different for your Valentine’s Day morning. An opportunity to give yourself a little bit of the love that you give out to others & a thank you from us for keeping our classes full to the brim & our hearts full ✨✨
8.30am - 1 hour practice. 40 mins Yogalates into 20 min sound bath ✨
9.30am - 45 mins our usual Hot Sculpt fav class of the week with a self love theme ❤️
10.30am - 1 hour 15 mins, Yin Yang yoga flow, flowing straight into sound-bath heaven 😍
