So proud this morning 💞. Never ever let a label define you. Sophie has been labelled a CP GMFCS level 5 by the medical profession……for those that don’t understand levels, that is the highest classification of Cerebral palsy one can receive. Look at this lovely sit to stand and her amazing Mr Potatoe heads she has sat and done this morning whilst sitting independently. Amazing wonderful Sophie 💞💞. Maes therapy…… challenging the norms, analysis and treatment of a child from a brain prespective 💞

Following the announcement from Jesy Nelson that both of her beautiful twin baby girls have been diagnosed with the devastating diagnosis of SMA Type 1 our very own amazing SMA Type 1 warrior Sienna and her mum are being interviewed for BBC radio and Look North this afternoon to help raise awareness of the vital new born screening that is so desperately needed. Keep an eye out for Sienna and Sian. I’ll post as soon as we get confirmation of when it is airing ❤️

For those coming to clinic today please be careful entering the car park. It’s an ice rink. I have cleared and gritted the disabled bays and path to clinic but the car park is really bad.
