We have scheduled the Instructor Foundation Course, (IFC) for the North East Region on Nov 15th at South Shields.

The IFC introduces a qualified diver to the essential elements of both theory and practical diving instruction.

To enrol on the IFC you must have already successfully completed a BSAC Sport Diver course (or have equivalent certification from another recognised training agency). You must also be at least 16 years old.

Upon completion, as an Assistant Diving Instructor you can work within your branch helping with training and progressing towards Open Water Instructor.

Safety Advisor

BSAC hopes to promote and develop the 'best practice' in diving safety for divers and snorkelling regardless of agency affiliation or location across the world. BSAC has a full suite of safety and rescue qualifications and instructor qualifications. These require review by teams with the relevant expertise in a timely manner and I'm seeking to appoint a Safety Advisor to join the National Diving Committee to further develop this area.
