Rescuing a baby squirrel who fell out of the nest, so high in the tree, that she stunned herself and was crying on the floor. We fixed a box up on the tree trunk and put her in it and her mum came back to rescue her 😊🐿️🐿️

Camping at Anam Cara
1st April to 30th September

Transcend the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature at Anam Cara. We are surrounded by accessible forest and beautiful views. Anam Cara offers both wild camping in a level field sheltered by mature trees and Glamping options. Facilities are simple: a toilet and shower block, washing-up sinks and picnic tables, bring your torch! The Glamping option also includes access to the camp kitchen, hot tub and sauna.

Anam Cara is set within 10 leafy acres, which in turn lead into miles of public-access forest – just the job for stretching your legs and exercising any canines accompanying you to this dog-friendly spot. And of course, you can also immerse yourselves in the hiking and cycling options found on the undulating chalk escarpments of the South Downs National Park (10 minutes’ drive). Anam Cara is handily close to the pleasant market town of Haslemere (15 minutes), where you can source groceries and most essentials, or take your pick of pubs and restaurants if you fancy a big(ish) night out.

Hire a Glamping Tent in the beautiful exclusive Glamping Field around the Dragonfly Pool during the week* for £100 per night. This includes access to the Camp Kitchen, hot tub and sauna. Glamping Tents have two camp beds with bedding and space for two sleeping mats for children (bring your own),

or,

bring your own tent for £20 per person per night camping in the Big Field.

Local attractions and activities include: - Ramster Gardens (gorgeous garden and tearoom):

five minutes’ drive - South Downs National Park (walking and cycling):

10 minutes - Golf course: 10 minutes - National Trust - Black Down (walks and views):

15 minutes - Haslemere (shops, pubs and restaurants):

15 minutes - National Trust - Winkworth Arboretum (woodland walks):

20 minutes - Hollycombe Steam in the Country (open-air fairground museum):

25 minutes - The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden (sculpture trails): half an hour.
