November you were a special one 🤍
A much lighter month than the month before
filled with such joy

both at home and away.

A month of crisp cold days
cosy fires
and so much variety and spontaneity

A month where calm and chaos danced together in perfect rhythm.
A month that I really enjoyed so much.

December:
Don’t go too fast.
Be kind.
Be sparkly.
And be gentle to all those that need it to be.

World Kindness Day 🤍

“Be kind whenever possible.
It is always possible”
~ Dalai Lama

Be kind.
To yourself.
To everyone around you.
Whether they show kindness towards you or not.

The practise of Ahimsa teaches us that even the smallest and most subtle act of softness, compassion and kindness can transform a day - whether that’s your day or someone elses. It’s something that I like to take very seriously in my practice on and off the mat 🤍

“Realise deeply that the present moment is all you ever have” ~ Eckhart Tolle.

I’m currently reading the book “The Power of Now” and this quote stuck with me today.

A reminder that life is constantly unfolding. The past exists only as memory; the future exists only as imagination.

The present moment
This breath
This experience
Right now

is all that’s truly real.

From my own experience, I know that being present isn’t always easy. I used to find myself tangled in the past or reaching toward the future. Now, the present has become such a natural space for me that I sometimes struggle to leave it. Planning ahead used to come so naturally and now my brain much prefers to live in the short term, week by week and often day by day.

When we anchor our awareness in the here and now, we can find peace, clarity, and freedom from anxiety about what’s gone or what’s to come.

And I like to think of the here and now as a really peaceful place to be.

Have you read the book? I’d love to have some more recommendations so do DM me with your favourites 🤍

Gosh - September, you’ve been full to the brim with joy-filled days and simple pleasures, spectacular sunsets and chilly swims,

A little fast paced and chaotic (behind the scenes!) at times.
But sprinkled with so many memorable moments.
The weeks have been filled and fast paced,
the weekends have been unplanned and so much fun.

This is 41 🤍 I’m not quite sure how I ended up being 41 but I’m rather enjoying riding this wave of life and very happy to be here!

Grateful every day for every little thing and excited for the next 41 years of adventures ahead.

A little quieter on here than usual as lots of adventures going on behind the scenes but wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone that has joined me in the new term - I love seeing your faces each week and it means the world to me that you choose to practice with me, come rain and shine, or in the village hall.

Yoga has transformed my life and I feel very lucky to be able to do what I do and share my passion with so many.

Have a wonderful weekend doing the things that you love with the people that you love 🤍 Mary x

Nearly a month without posting — where has the time gone? Honestly, I’m not quite sure but it’s been such a special time being completely present, soaking up the summer and family time.

Endlessly grateful for the ability to be living in the here and now.
Grateful for letting go of the things I can’t control.
Grateful for the ability to embrace the chaos of the holidays.
The meals. The plans. The play dates. The snacks. The laundry and messy house.
Grateful for the special unrushed time spent with family and friends.

What a special time it’s been, what a special time it is.

Slow down August.
Slow Down.

Amidst my days full of family life there’s been so much going on and I’ve loved seeing so many of you join the sessions I’ve organised. There’s lots coming up over the next couple of weeks — take a look at the link in my bio if you’d like to join in.

Yoga sessions and many more for Sept/Oct will be live soon — I promise 🤍

A few moments that have made me smile over the last month:

1 The croissant run
2 Oh France
3 Grandma and Grandpa’s special celebration
4 Holiday yoga
5 Blue skies above
6 Not my house…
7 Morning walks
8 Safari nights
9 My favourite spot
10 Friday night out 🤍
11 Captain
12 Lily heaven
13 Planning mode
14 Incoming builders
15 HIIT views
16 My sister
17 Laughing Crumble
18 Blackberrying
19 Declutter
20 Headspace

And to my husband.

Who’s a quiet follower on Instagram and not hugely into any of this. On our 14th wedding anniversary today. We may not be wining and dining and living the high life this evening but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

At home.
Children.
Sleepovers.
Dogs.
Chaos.

Pure contentment.

What a wild adventure it’s been. So many adventures ahead and I can’t imagine this rollercoaster without you.

Long light days.
And the early mornings.
The beautiful sunsets.

Grateful for it all 🤍
