⛑️ First Aid Training at Furzefield Manor ⛑️

Our team recently took part in a First Aid training session with our fantastic trainer, Lorraine. It was a great opportunity for everyone to refresh and update their knowledge, ensuring we continue to provide the very best care for our residents.

The session was full of learning, teamwork, and plenty of laughs along the way. It’s always great to see the team coming together, supporting one another and building confidence in such important skills.

🎶 Introducing the Furzefield Manor Choir! 🎶

We’re so excited to share that our very first session was held today here at Furzefield Manor — and what a wonderful start it was!

Led by the fantastic Heather, residents came together for an afternoon filled with music, laughter, and plenty of singing. From warm-up exercises to much-loved classics, the room was full of smiles and great energy.

Singing together is a beautiful way to boost wellbeing, spark memories, and bring everyone closer — and today was the perfect beginning to what we hope will be a joyful new tradition at Furzefield Manor.

We had the pleasure of hosting our very first Befriended session today, led by the wonderful Gail 💛

Residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon of sing-along favourites, simple service stories and meaningful prayers. It was a warm, uplifting time together filled with smiles and reflection.

We’re delighted to share that Befriended will now take place on the first Tuesday of every month at 3pm — and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next month.

Furzefield Manor was delighted to welcome Heather back through our doors recently 🎶

Heather is a fantastic singer who led a wonderful group singing session that had everyone smiling, singing along and thoroughly enjoying themselves. The atmosphere was full of joy and great memories.

As always, Heather also spent time providing one-to-one sessions for residents who are unable to attend communal activities. These special moments mean so much and ensure everyone can experience the power of music and connection.

Today, our wonderful Art Club residents took advantage of the sunny weather to paint outdoors, filling the day with creativity, colour, and laughter. From delicate blossoms to bright landscapes, each piece reflected the joy and inspiration of the season.

This morning at Furzefield Manor we were delighted to welcome the wonderful Dementia Singing Experience to our home 🎶💜

Music has such a powerful way of connecting people, unlocking memories, and lifting spirits — and today was a beautiful reminder of that. There was singing, smiling, clapping, and even a little dancing!

It was truly heartwarming to see our residents so engaged and enjoying every moment. Experiences like this make such a difference, bringing joy, stimulation, and meaningful connection.
