A little something I have been working on for a while, and will be bringing to the makers market this Saturday at the Observer building Hastings.

As an Herbalist and advocate of natural health I wanted to create a simple range of herbal tinctures that target common conditions I see in my clinic.
Herbalism can seem daunting, but it's not.
It's the oldest and most tried and tested form of medicine.
From Hippocrates to Galen, to Culpepper, herbalists have been using their knowledge to heal through the centuries.
My tincture blends use traditional British herbs that target specific areas of the body.
A bit like it does exactly what it says on the bottle!

So come along and say hi, ask questions and see whats on offer alongside the usual Candaroma goodies x

Oooh, it's the witchy time!
Happy Samhain, happy Halloween everyone.
From today, the 31st until November 2nd we celebrate our movement into the dark months.
It is a time to honour our ancestors and they say it is the time that the veil between worlds is at its most transparent.
Hence the connection with the spirit world and beyond.
Honour it with lighting candles & bonfires.
As kids we always did duck apple....a tradition that seems to have faded away.
We would have buckets of freezing cold water filled with bobbing apples. Wet, messy and only for the brave, but fun!
And there was always a bonfire with tin foiled baked potatoes to warm you afterwards.
For those wanting to stay dry, a race to eat apples suspended from string was the order of play....even harder!
So whether you celebrate with apples, bonfires, candlelight or trick or treating, mark this time, think of those you care about and those who have come before you.
And most of all embrace the dark winter months - it's gonna be a long one folks!

The Season Of The Witch
I love October.

The trees are displaying their true colours and it really does start to feel wintery.

The Super moon which rises tonight and tomorrow will be spectacular as it swings close to the earth, bringing with it the fiery assertive energy of Aries.

It marks the first of three consecutive super moons. These moons magnify your energy and intention, so think carefully about what you are asking for and use its power wisely to manifest what you need.

October 31st see Samhain, or Halloween, when it is said the veil between the living and spirit world becomes so thin you can cross from one to another.

Powerful energy is circulating as we celebrate the harvest, the end of summer and move into winter

Thank you We Out Here. What an amazing festival weekend. Sunshine, mates, music & fun. Dancing to the early hours, roasting tents, water outages, terrible toilets, dust and general shenanigan's. Big shout out to Rich for him amazing camp organisation. He's the best arkala I know!
