Christmas can often be a difficult time, particularly for people who are experiencing loneliness.
This Christmas, we're encouraging people to because for some, a simple conversation could mean everything.
We're sending out FREE "I'm Happy To Chat" table signs to venues across the UK - anywhere people gather for a cuppa, a meal, or a drink - to help spark conversation, spread connection and tackle loneliness head on.

It's becoming a common question of therapists, so FWIW: I neither use AI in my counselling work (summarising case notes, asking for clinical advice etc), nor do I use online tools that hold/store client's personal information (such as note taking).

Ok, so sales have been ridiculously low for the past few weeks, with social media throttling our reach and fatigue kicking my butt.

We shared this helpful poster last year which prompted lots of conversations, inbox messages and gave people ideas on how to support someone around them grieving at Christmas.
Remember, just because they arenât showing it, doesnât mean they arenât feeling it.
The ideas can be used with children and adults, so please do remember to have these conversations in your home too. The more you talk together, the more open and honest they will feel they can be.
BACP made no apology for its overnight demotion of its senior accredited members at its SCoPEd transition event last week. Pressure and concern from members was dismissed with waffle. On 23rd April the UK government will test an emergency alert. Your mobile/smartphone could make a loud sound, even on silent. If you are in a domestic violence situation and have an emergency phone hidden for your safety this alert could reveal its location. REFUGE have created a guide for turning alerts off.

So, you began with a struggle a while ago and you put it to the back of your mind.
You got on with life, you didnât pay much attention.
And over time, the struggle grew. It began to get in the way of life, your relationships, your work, your happiness.
This is when you began to think: âI wonder if a counsellor might helpâ.
Of course, when you began searching Google you noticed lots of different counsellors out there... and they all looked pretty much the same as each other. No-one stood out. Lots of them were cheap. Lots of them were eager for your business, having recently graduated from college. Nothing about how they described themselves seemed to speak to you.
Then you began to think more carefully about who youâd like to work with.
You wanted someone experienced.
You wanted someone professional, but with whom you could feel relaxed and, well, real.
You wanted someone who you could try out a bit... without feeling as if you were signing up to months of therapy.
You wanted someone who you could pay as you go (per weekly session).
This is when you began to consider Dean Richardson MNCS(Acc) MBACP(Accred) and you met with him for just the one session.
With over 19 years experience, working with over 600 clients and couples, making distinct relationships with each client (some of whom have spoke about never experiencing such a bond before), Dean works alongside people to get them to a place where counselling is no longer needed... nor required.
