🌺 Joined by Bedhampton Funeral Southern Co-operative Funeral and Memorial Consultant, Charlie, our residents spent some lovely time engaging in creative arts. Together, they shared stories, memories and creativity while making a beautiful display for the local Co-operative Funeralcare in Bedhampton. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Charlie for the wonderful visit and for helping our residents express their creativity in such a meaningful way. 🌺🌺🌺

Today we say goodbye to an incredible member of our team — Tanya Freeman whose compassion, dedication, and kindness have touched so many lives. 🌟
While we’re sad to see her go, she'll be back as a bank member of the team, we’re so proud that she’s following her dream career! Last weekend, our amazing personal trainer Darin took part in the Dementia UK Marathon in London 🏃‍♂️💙

This cause is very close to his heart, and his dedication to raising awareness and funds for Dementia UK is truly inspiring 🙌

Dementia affects so many families, and every step taken helps bring us closer to better care, understanding, and support for those living with it 💜

🧠💙 Walking in others' Experience at Portsdown View Care Home💙🧠

At Connaught Care Group, we believe that empathy and compassion are the foundations of exceptional care.

Our dedicated team participated in the Connaught Care innovative, - in-house training programme designed to help staff truly understand what life might feel like for someone living with dementia.

Through immersive simulations and guided reflection, our colleagues gained powerful insights into the everyday challenges faced by those with dementia. With each unique experience, our team reported different views of their experiences — deepening their compassion and reshaping the way we approach care.

We're proud to lead the way with training that doesn't just inform, but transforms — created by Connaught Care Group, for the benefit of the people we support every day and for our team to draw continuing closer thoughtfulness of what might be experienced by those we dearly support and care for. .

🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month Fundraiser 💕

This October, we continue to focus on Breast Cancer Awareness, encouraging all our friends and families to learn, share, and talk about this very important cause. 💗

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting communities, we’ve started our fundraising for breast cancer support at Portsdown View Care Home, and yesterday marked the kick-off of our fundraising events! 🎉

We were honoured to welcome Nurse Julie, who joined us for an insightful session — sharing valuable information and clear illustrations on how to reduce the risk of breast cancer and what steps to take if we notice any changes in our wellbeing. 👩‍⚕️✨ A huge thank you to Julie for your time, knowledge, and kindness. And, thank you to all our guests who joined us too💐

It was a bright afternoon filled with love, learning, laughter, and music — a beautiful start to a meaningful month. 🎶💞

We’ll be continuing our fundraising all through October, and we warmly invite everyone to join us in raising awareness and support for this vital cause. Please do ask at our reception for support.💪💗
