The girls were busy harvesting our second crop of potatoes whilst the boys busied themselves repairing and improving the block work in the Friend of Emsworth garden. Good healthy fun!

Thats it for 2025 dementia gardening - we will take a break over the winter months and aim to return in the Spring of 26
Thanks to Ann and the Emsworth community centre for their support and to the team of helpers. 😊

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at today’s dementia festival. What a wonderful event which was expertly organised by Dementia Friendly Petersfield - thank you!
Lovely to meet so many people and offer support and information about dementia.

I’m sure you’re all wondering how well our potato harvest went today, eh. Well it was okay. Not as good as last year because I think the lack of rain meant the crop didn’t grow as well. But as you can see from the photos Mandy and I had great fun digging around in the soil and collecting what we could. We left the other bag for a little longer to see if it’ll give us a better return.

A photo of our Dementia Lawn Bowls group taken a week ago.
We’ve had so much fun running the sessions over the summer months that we’ve decided to continue INDOORS!!!

From Monday 6th Oct the bowls will be indoors at the Emsworth Sports and Social Club at 3pm.
The sessions are run by the staff at the Club and with Right at Home care.

Can’t wait to get this NEW Right at Home event off the ground. Launches on Oct 13th and we will hope to run it fortnightly thereafter (on 2nd / 4th Monday of the month)

Just another dementia friendly community event from RAH and our partners Dementia Friendly Petersfield

Right at Home has partnered with Dementia Friendly Petersfield to run a dementia bowling group at the Taro Petersfield.

The launch is Monday October 13th then it will be repeated on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
No experience, nor equipment needed.
