✨️📚March is Reading Month 📚✨

As a coaching psychologist, I truly believe that the right book at the right time can help shift your mindset, expand your awareness, and spark meaningful change.

After I was diagnosed with AuDHD, one book I found beyond helpful to helping me understand my mind & body, physically, chemically and psychologically was "Scattered Minds" by Gabor Maté.

This book helped me reframe ADHD not as a deficit, but as a response, a complex interaction between brain chemistry, environment, stress, and sensitivity. It gave language to experiences I’d struggled to articulate and compassion to parts of myself I’d misunderstood for years.

👇 I’d love to hear:
• What are you reading this month?
• Which book has had the biggest impact on your personal or professional growth?

Let’s build a March reading list together. 📖💭

As a Coaching Psychologist, and as a support group leader and trustee of Endometriosis South Coast, my work sits at a powerful intersection: evidence-based psychological practice, lived experience shared within a community, and the deeply human realities of chronic illness. Gentle reminder:
You are not behind.
You are not failing.
You are not “too much” or “not enough.” 💛

You are becoming.
And growth doesn’t follow a timeline, it follows honesty, courage, and self-compassion.

Self-care isn’t always quiet baths and early nights.
Sometimes… it’s being bold. ✨

What does self-care look like for you right now??

For me, self-care is adding colour to my life... literally!!
Dying my hair, refreshing my look, choosing to feel new again. It’s a reminder that I’m allowed to evolve, to express, to take up space in vibrant ways.

As coaching psychologists, we often talk about restoration, boundaries, nervous system regulation. But self-care can also be expansion. Expression. Play. Identity.

Bold can be therapeutic.
Colour can be healing.
Change can be regulating.

Confidence doesn’t always look loud.
Sometimes it looks like trusting yourself.
Keeping promises to yourself.
Showing up even when you’re unsure. 🌱

Confidence is built in small, consistent moments,
not overnight transformations.

What’s one small promise you can keep today?

New blog feature published this morning on my website:

In my work as a Coaching Psychologist, supporting men with their mental well-being is both deeply rewarding and uniquely nuanced. Many of the men I work with arrive not because they are comfortable talking about how they feel, but because something is no longer working, burnout, anger, disconnection...

As we welcome the Chinese New Year, we’re reminded that every new cycle is an invitation, not to become someone else, but to return more fully to ourselves.

This is a time to:
🐉 Release what no longer serves you
🌱 Set intentions rooted in values, not pressure
🧠 Cultivate clarity, resilience, and self-compassion

In psychology and coaching, we know that real change doesn’t come from forcing resolutions, it comes from small, meaningful shifts repeated with awareness.

As this new year begins, ask yourself:

What am I ready to let go of?

What do I want to grow, internally, not just externally?

How do I want to feel as I move through this year?

May this new year bring you balance, insight, and steady progress, one intentional step at a time.

🧧 Wishing you health, wisdom, and growth in the year ahead.

✨ New on the website ✨

I’m excited to share that I’ve added a new blog feature to my website, now living under the "Articles" section.

This space will be where I explore topics from a coaching psychology perspective, as well as a personal perspective – including self-awareness, leadership, change, wellbeing, and the everyday patterns that shape how we think, feel, and work.

If you enjoy thoughtful reflections, practical insights, and evidence-informed ideas you can actually use, this one’s for you.

Self-care isn’t just candles and bubble baths. 🕯️
Sometimes it looks like:
• Saying no
• Resting without guilt
• Asking for help
• Choosing what’s best, not what’s easiest

Real self-care supports the life you’re building, not escaping from it. 💪

Whether you're single or in a relationship this Valentine's Day, your worth is not defined by your relationship status.💕

Being loved is beautiful...
But knowing your value is powerful💪

Healthy relationships begin with the one you have with yourself:
-How you speak to yourself
-How you set boundaries
-How you meet your own emotional needs

Today isn't about who chooses you.
It's about choosing yourself, with kindness, compassion, and intention.

Happy Valentine' Day 💕💝

Did you know?
Coaching psychology offers a supportive space for young people to navigate change with clarity and self-belief.

At this time of year, the inevitable transitions of finishing school, sitting exams, starting something new, is fast approaching..
It’s okay to feel uncertain, stuck, or overwhelmed.

You don’t need all the answers right now.
You just need space to think, reflect, and reconnect with what matters to you.

✨ Coaching psychology supports young people to:
• Calm the nervous system
• Develop healthier thinking patterns
• Feel more in control during high-pressure moments

If you think you (or your young adult, if you're a parent reading this) could benefit from coaching, please get in touch for a free 30 minute consultation to see how I may be able to support you through this transition.

Something I don’t talk about enough is how much my work gives back to me.

Yes, coaching is incredibly valuable for my clients, but it also constantly reminds me why being values-aligned in my work matters so much.

In sessions, I talk a lot about self-reflection & journalling… noticing how things land in your body and mind.
And I really try to practice what I preach, so I feel it is important that I share a snippet of my self-reflections occasionally.

After every session, no matter who im working with, I come away feeling so proud of my clients & their progress, and honestly, so deeply fulfilled by the work I do.

Being invited into people’s journeys, witnessing growth, insight, and courage… it is truly a privilege 🥰

I love my job, but it is so much more than "just a job" for me. And I’m grateful every day that my work aligns with who I am 💕
