The time has come to officially handover to the new Mess Committee for the next academic year! 😍

I am pleased to announce the Mess Committee for 2024/2025… 🥁
Mess President - Mohammed Salmaan Azam
Mess Secretary - Caradog Hanna-Davies
Mess Treasurer - Yasmin Kabir
Mess Social Secretary - Abhay Ghaiwal

Thank you very much to all of those who applied and congratulations to the new team! 👏

This year, as a committee, we have organised two socials a month (with varying degrees of success!), regularly stocked up both mess kitchens with treats and, through a massive team effort from various departments around the hospital and the medical education team, upgraded all of the bedrooms in Pembroke County with plans for further renovation in the future. 🥳

Looking back, we are proud of what we have achieved this year as a committee and look forward to seeing what the next year brings! 😄

The only thing worse than our social media commitment was our commitment to posting the costa raffle.😂 Our 6 MONTH Costa raffle winners from March to August are... From the mess committee we hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! ✨ Some photos attached of the lovely team working on Christmas Day and our Pay Day Week Presents Social. 🎄
Tomorrow marks the first of our mess events for 2024 which will be a relaxed mid-strike film and games night in the accommodation mess. 🎞 Thanks to an anonymous consultant donation to support junior doctors during the strikes, there will also be plenty of food for all! ❤️ Please fill in the attached form to make sure I get enough pizza and snacks with everyone’s dietary requirements in mind. 🍕

Come and join us in the accommodation mess from 18:00 on Thursday 21st December for our final social of the year - Pay Day Week Presents! 🎁 Festive snacks and a Christmas movie will be provided with a Secret Santa gift exchange for all of those wanting to participate - bring a present to receive one! 🎅🎄

We've had a couple of socials since our last post! 🥳 Photos attached from our nail biting pub quiz which ended with a tie breaker and a lovely Christmas tree from the Aberglasney winter fair at the beginning of the month. 🍻🎄 Stay tuned for a double costa raffle next week and our final social of the year! ✨
