🦶 👣Diabetic Foot Care 👣🦶
Over 4.6 million people have Diabetes and its on the increase.

What is it?
Diabetes is from high blood sugars damaging nerves (neuropathy) and blood vessels (poor circulation). Leading to loss of sensation in feet, lower limbs. being unable to feel cuts, blisters, or pressure sores.
Foot health care is a crucial, lifelong practice for managing and helping in preventing serious complications like infections, ulcers, and amputations.

Who’s at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes?

• Have a family history of diabetes
• Are over 40 or over 25 for some ethnic groups

• Had diabetes during pregnancy (gestational diabetes)

Cracked Skin (Fissures) Do you suffer with it?
Cracked skin often develops as a progression of hard skin. When thickened skin becomes too dry or is left untreated, it can split, forming painful cracks (fissures).
These cracks can deepen over time, making walking uncomfortable and increasing the risk of infection.
