Robson's Funeral Directors Local family funeral directors, Golden Charter, SAIF registered, Memorial Stones

Robson's Funeral Directors is a local family business, established in 1877 as A & J Robson joiners and undertakers. Our family decided to resurrect the funeral side of the business in 2009 and totally refurbished the premises to include a mortuary, large garage and Chapel which seats 120. Our motto says it all "Our Family Helping Yours" We take care of your loved ones as if they were our own. Robson’s Funeral Directors is an appointed representative of Golden Charter Limited trading as Golden Charter Funeral Plans, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN:965279).

WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
We have an out of hours/casual role as a funeral operative available within Robsons Funeral Directors.
As an out of hours operative, you will play a vital role in the practical and compassionate delivery of our services. You’ll assist with our on-call duties during evenings and weekends, ensuring every family receives exceptional care and support when they need it most. While experience in the funeral industry is not required, we are looking for individuals who are keen to make a positive difference in their local community.
The role is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift and carry heavy weights; however training will be given and you will be with a trained member of staff.
You will be responsible for coordinating and transporting deceased persons from family homes, nursing/care homes and hospitals into our care safely and respectfully, alongside another team member. You will need to demonstrate empathy and confidentiality at all times.
Your duties will include driving therefore you’ll need a full driving licence.
If you prefer flexible working hours rather than being committed to a permanent contract this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Many of our casual workers are retired or work with us as a second job to enhance their income. This flexible, casual role involves covering our out of hours service from 5pm to 9am Monday to Thursday and 1pm Friday to Monday 9am, rotational weekend shifts with the team.
Please apply to info@aj-robson.co.uk or send a covering letter to our office.
Feel free to share this post.
Thank you.
