This has been a hard week as we said goodbye to Dottyman. He was a beautiful horse inside and out, a horse full of character and a unique personality, who made us laugh daily.

I am so thankful to his owner Gemma and to Dotty as they helped me with the many videos that I had to do for my degree course. It used to make me laugh how for the purpose of the videos, I had to get kitted out in full safety gear when in reality he wouldn't even hurt a fly, he would however, try and steal the limelight which would result in multiple takes! He just loved the attention.

Dottyman, you were a very special boy and I count myself very lucky to have met you and to have been part of your team. Thank you for being my poster boy, teacher, mentor and my buddy, I'll miss you pal, always ###

I loved my visit to North East Veterinary Physiotherapy Clinic. This lad absolutely cracked me up, he just loves the snacks! As weight management was an important part of his plan and alongside the need to get him to do his rehab exercises, he begins with carrots for incentives, but he then gets bored of them, so it has to be upgraded to crudités. As you can see he really liked them!
Thanks for letting me visit Lucinda Stott it was great to see the amazing work you do with dogs.

Last month I bought a horse, there was no reasonable explanation as to why I bought a horse, I wasn’t looking for one, and I didn’t have much free time etc, but for some reason and against my better judgement I bought Pip, which in all honesty was a pretty stupid thing to do 🙈
She was lame when I bought her. (I would not advise anyone to do this!) but she did have a list of excuses and I thought it was an opportunity to document a rehab journey, try new things and hopefully have some fun along the way.
I have never owned a cob in my life, so I have learned so much about the nightmare which is heavy feathers! I’ve also learned how hard rehab can be and I have a new found appreciation for all my clients who stick to their plans! I’ve also found it really frustrating as progress can seem slow, and some days it feels like you aren’t getting anywhere fast. However, the first photo is from April 2nd the day I bought her and the second photo is from today May 17th. There is definitely progress even over a 6 week period and overall she seems much brighter in herself and moving much better. Sometimes things are just meant to be and the horse you need finds you 😊 I am also thankful to Taryn Hardman who is helping us on our barefoot journey, which I will cover in another post.

Trust the process, rehab works.

Sorry I have been a bit quiet, I’ve had so much going on recently. My dog, my absolute world, has been poorly. He had vestibular syndrome which was very frightening to witness as it looked like he was having a stroke. He’s much better now and pretty much back to normal, he has lost a bit of speed chasing the birds. However, at his age I’m just glad he still finds the pleasure in doing the things he loves. We are so relieved he’s made a full recovery. It’s sad, they get old too soon. 😢

I hate taking photos, but with these celebs I couldn’t resist. Below we have Nobel Yeats, Minella Times, Tiger Roll, Bindaree and Silver Birch. Looking back, I realise how lucky I was to be in the presence of greatness!
Good luck to all runners and riders today 🐎🐎🐎

This horse really enjoyed being part of the Fascial
Edge Tool training day. I’ve lost my tool already, I knew that would happen 🙈 if anybody has seen it please let me know. 👍
