📌Team Leaders: 28 - 35 hour contracts
⏱️Shift Times: 07:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 21:00

📌Housekeeper: 18 - 24 hour contracts
⏱️Shift Times: 08:30 - 14:30

Here at The Downes today we had our raffle and name the bunny . Wow what an amazing amount of gifts and prizes donated . Thanks to Family members and staff for your contributions . So generous as always . Special thanks to Lilly Rose , Fletchers , Duckies , Blewetts, The Gannet and Harvey's butchers in St ives . We had lots of laughs along the way . We all hope eveyone has had a lovely Easter Sunday .

We have been doing ball exercises, to help with arm strength , hand eye coordination but most of all having fun fun fun .
A game of snakes and ladders had us on the edge of our seats at times .
We have expanding our minds with , back in their grandparents day items to recognise . Lots of answers being shouted out , which ofcourse helped one another ha ha ha , lots of laughter. Xx
Creating the last of our Easter decorations . Decorating bunting to adorn our home , looking beautiful .
We have had outtings to tea and toast at St Erth which is always so lovely to attend . Meeting up with friends and enjoying a cuppa . This week we coloured in small plastic easter eggs . All of this is provided free , and is run by a fantastic team of volunteers.
Pat enjoyed a shopping trip and lunch at Trevaskis . The staff were so helpful and amazing .
So we start another week , Sunday we will be celebrating Easter. Chocolate will no doubt be consumed . Our raffle will take place in the diningroom around 1.30 - 2pm . If you haven't already bought a raffle they will be on sale up until midday .

We had yet another birthday this month . So what would that mean!? Yes more cake , more singing and certainly more celebrating and happy faces . We know how to party here at The Downes .
We do take time out either in groups or individually. Tea trips , ice-cream days , luncheon afternoons and even shopping days . When residents are unable to join us in the diningroom or lounges we provide 1-1 activities . So important for our hearts and minds. Simple pleasures can mean so much . Conversations or just sitting with individuals make such a difference to their day . Nail care and hand massages provide the sense of touch and care .
Making jewellery helps with dexterity and colour coding . Who doesn't love a bracelet or 2 !!? X### the gentlemen like this activity too , amazing I know!!! 😌
Our lovely Charlotte made chocolate Easter nests with them this week using , cornflakes, chocolate and Easter eggs . See all those happy fulfilled faces . To say they were happy is an understatement .
More wordsearches , crosswords and colouring were on the agenda .

St Patrick's Day celebrations ! Making shamrocks listening and singing some songs. Mandy dancing , well atleast trying !!! Certainly made them laugh ! 😃 that's what it's all about . As you can see residents and Staff joining in , never a dull moment here for sure . Look at all these happy smiles. More Easter crafts. To expand our minds , we decided on a wordsearch that afternoon. You could ve heard a pin drop , it was so quiet, the concentration was immense . Everyone done an amazing job . Proud of them all . Painted rainbows and decorations adorned the main entrance and continuing on into the diningroom. Coffee and tea was definitely needed that day . Ha ha ha .
We had 2 birthdays to celebrate . Our lovely ladies were the main attraction that day . We enjoyed lots of yummy cake . Sang happy birthday , ànd carried on with the celebrations . The Staff were fab, wearing hats and tutus. Thankyou for all your support and help . ###

The ladies love their nail sessions here at The Downes.
Who doesn't love a pamper .
Lots of prepping for Easter ! Making and colouring eggs , chick's and rabbits ofcourse . Using beautiful spring colours . Much concentration was needed , but that's easy ! We have, coffee , tea ,cake and the occasional ice-cream to get us through our busy crafting activities . Always so much fun 💓 . Easter is fast approaching , so this week is going to be finishing our projects and selling raffle tickets also selling Easter gift sets to raise money for our lovely residents. If you would like to purchase raffle tickets or buy from our little makes corner please ask myself , Charlotte , Grace or a Senior . Many thanks for your continued support , it really does mean so much to us all . X###
