New Timetable for our new Community Centre Venue…
Now based at the lovely new build community centre in Gwinear I am able to offer a small, but mixed variety of classes.
I love yoga, yoga saved my broken old athlete body BUT after practicing just yoga for 5 years now, I can see its limitations. At 43 I can see my body needs more, all aging bodies need more. Bone density naturally decreases as does muscle mass over 35. Walking, yoga, sea swims etc are lovely BUT they will not protect your body from osteoporosis and or atrophy - add in some cardio, plyo, strength work and you’ll create a strong frame with lean muscles to support you through life.
YOGA STRONG:
For ages I’ve been wanting to combine yoga with strength. Those isometric pulsing holds in yoga, at full range with a small weight will fire up those sleepy stabiliser and activate the main movers.
These classes will not reduce your ROM and they are not weight lifting. These classes are mindfully designed to enhance your shoulder, hip and knee strength through range while building strong bones and muscles.
Blast FX - body weight aerobics style exercises with some polymeric but can be reduced back for those who have joint issues.
Metafit - High Intensity Interval Training 20secs in 12 secs off for around 20 mins. Body weight exercises, core and plyo.
Zumba Strong - fully choreography dance/ aerobics martial arts inspired workout.
Bootcamp - Outdoor strength circuits, team relays and finishers. All adaptable for varying fitness levels and held at Gwithian towans/tehidy/st George’s walk.
