|| If you can find a few quiet moments to yourself today (or any point over the next couple of weeks), Please do try this simple self care practice for celebrating and acknowledging the winter solstice.

Try to weave this small ritual into your day to allow you to calm and connect with yourself.

By using the breath in this way we are signalling to our nervous system that we are safe and secure, soothing our body and mind creating a deeply grounding effect.

If you require a little extra calm this is a fabulous way of soothing yourself between reflexology sessions.

|| What if, for once, at Christmas we gave ourselves permission to relax and focus on what really matters?

December is a lot but this is your sign to find a bit of 'comfort and joy' this December by reminding you to make time to step away from the chaos, be gentle with yourself and create some calm.

I hope you find these gentle suggestions helpful and that they support you to cope better during times of festive stress, overwhelm or anxiety.

It is a sad fact but we rarely feel able to make rest a priority in our busy lives.

In our society there so much pressure to keep going no matter what, but our bodies just aren't made that way!

As a working mum of 2 with lots of other external pressures to juggle I totally appreciate it can often feel impossible and even uncomfortable to make time for rest, and please don’t think I only mean spending an hour flat out on the sofa or taking an afternoon bath (although both of those things are perfectly reasonable and totally lovely) I mean spending time being slower, more mindful with your actions not whizzing around at 100mph, doing things that bring you joy, make you laugh, make you feel good about yourself.

Humans aren't designed to run on high level without having a period of rest and relaxation, especially as we head into the darkest part of the year.

You need a time for renewal. It allows you to relax, rejuvenate and repair your wonderful mind and body.

That's where reflexology can really benefit you. Your treatments will provide you with a restorative space to deeply rest in a way you may not have felt in years.

Rest is soooooooo important make it a guilt free priority for you.
