❤️ RSG joins the National Restart a Heart Campaign 2025!

Yesterday, we proudly took part in the National Restart a Heart campaign, on behalf of Resuscitation Council UK.🫀

Restart a Heart Day is a nationwide initiative aimed at raising awareness about cardiac arrest and teaching as many people as possible the vital skill of CPR — giving everyone the confidence to help save a life. 💓

Our medical team set up in Jubilee Square, Woking, where we spent the day engaging with the public — sharing vital information, cardiac arrest statistics, teaching hands-only CPR, and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

We ran multiple Basic Life Support (BLS) stations and even brought along our digital simulation mannequin, allowing participants to test the effectiveness of their CPR technique in real time.

A huge shout-out to the incredible dance students from Italia Conti, who visited us in numbers and turned CPR into a friendly competition — each striving to achieve 100% on compression accuracy! 💪🩺

Throughout the day, we trained people of all ages (including a few enthusiastic toddlers!), spoke with a cardiac arrest survivor, and dispelled common CPR myths — helping to build confidence in those who might one day need to step in and save a life.

We even found time to put our own team’s life support skills to the test, ensuring that our medics remain as sharp and ready as ever.

💓 Restart a Heart Day – Learn CPR, Act Fast, Save Lives 💓

Join Regional Safety Group on Restart a Heart Day, Wednesday 16th October 2025, at Jubilee Square, Woking, for a free, hands-on community event that could help you save a life.

🚑 What’s happening:
We’ll be running six Basic Life Support (BLS) stations, offering 1-to-1 CPR training sessions led by our trained team in line with Resuscitation Council UK guidance.

You’ll also learn about the importance of early defibrillation and how to respond confidently in a cardiac emergency.

💬 Why come along?
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere. Quick action from bystanders—like starting CPR—can double or even triple someone’s chance of survival.

This free event is open to everyone — no experience needed! Drop by, learn a vital skill, and help make our community a safer place.
