We were thrilled to welcome Ava to Carricks Brook for her recent work experience placement.🌟

Ava is currently studying Catering at East Sussex College, and spending time in a busy working kitchen has given her valuable hands‑on experience to support her course. She worked closely with our chef and several of our residents who enjoy helping out in the kitchen.👩‍🍳

During her six days with us, Ava helped prepare a range of delicious, nutritionally balanced meals for both residents and staff. She brought enthusiasm, kindness, and a brilliant work ethic - an absolute joy to have as part of the team.🥗🍲

This was a residents’ meeting with a difference! 👮‍♀️✨
We were lucky to be joined by two Police Community Support Officers, who took part in the meeting and talked about the work they do to keep our community safe, answering lots of questions from everyone.
Residents had the chance to try on some uniform, sit in the police car, and even test out the blue lights! 🚓💙
A huge thank you to the two lovely PCSOs for being so amazing and for sharing their day with us.💙
