CPJ Field Community Champion Sussex

CPJ Field Community Champion Sussex Community outreach providing help and support within the community around Sussex engaging in charity

Through our work as Community Champions we hope to challenge and change out of date negative perceptions of funeral directors by working closely with the communities in which we work. We are more than just a funeral director and have been a family business for over 330 years. We are dedicated to making a difficult time that little bit easier and carry our philosophy that every life is unique in every aspect of our lives. We intend to make a valuable contribution to our local communities and to continue to break down the taboo’s surrounding the work of a funeral director.

On Remembrance Sunday, we remember together.

We share stories. We say their names out loud. We stand side by side in our grief.

When someone dies, even the people who loved them most go quiet around each other.

Nobody mentions them at dinner.
Nobody tells the old stories.
Everyone’s afraid it’ll make someone sad.

We’re all already sad. We all want to talk about them.

So talk about them.

Share the stories.
Say their names.
Remember out loud.
Together.
