Grief doesn’t move in a straight line. It comes and goes, just like the sea.
Some days feel calm, like the tide has gently pulled back and you can breathe again. Other days the waves rise without warning, heavy and overwhelming, crashing into you when you least expect it.
There is no right way for it to show up. No timeline to follow. No finish line to reach.
Grief ebbs and flows. It softens, then surges. It retreats, then returns.
And each time it comes back, it doesn’t mean you’re back at the beginning. It means you’re learning how to carry it differently.
Be gentle with yourself in the rising tides and the quieter waters. Both are part of your healing.
