Scattered, exhausted and a little bit flat….
That’s what the shift into autumn has made me feel if I’m honest.
So, here’s part 2 of what I’ve been doing to keep me grounded:
1. Being creative
I’ve joined a local printing course and totally fell in love with the process! The time to switch off and get lost in the flow of creativity while learning something new is much needed.
2. Being outdoors and finding the joy even in the cold
Mushrooms galore, glistening spider webs in the mornings and the first new shoots appearing.
3. Sowing bulbs in all of my vintage vases - some of which I’m keeping indoors for some early blooms
4. Baking - apple cakes, apple pies, apple crumble, I’ve even baked a French apple pudding with all of the allotment apples. The process of taking seemingly simple ingredients and turning them into something else always soothes me.
What about you? How are you staying grounded?
