Why I hitchhike:
1) I meet lovely people and have a good conversation.

2) I re-introduce the good old human aspect to the minds of all those who drive past and don't stop. Remember the covid "stay at distance to other humans" fear mongering?

3) I might get earlier to my destination than the (often unreliable) bus.

Why don't you join this anti fear and pro trust & kindness behaviour, stick your thumb out and see what happens?
Peace, Raphael

Workshop "How To Hug" Sat 11 Sept 2-5, Hebden Bridge:
this shows how far from being normal humans we have come.
Does it need a professional councillor to teach us?

"How do we step gently back into connection?
What's it like to be in a group?
How do we hug?"

The published government data (see image) clearly shows there's no reason for fear any more. NOW it's time to boost your health and catch up with hugging and human contact we have been missing for too long!
Here is some information from https://healthtruth.info/we-need-to-focus-on-the-immune-system-in-the-next-virus-season/
Hugging and virus transmission:
Logically, a good hug is less likely to transmit viruses than a face to face chat, as both huggers involved breathe into the space behind each other over their shoulders, putting hands on the backs of the other person; this makes it nearly impossible for a virus to get transmitted.
Speaking face to face does not increase oxytocin, which we need to be happy. After the lockdown people are craving for hugs and social contacts and tired of feeling miserable.

Hugs increase levels of oxytocin and reduce blood pressure.
The gentle pressure on the sternum and the emotional charge this creates activates the Solar Plexus Chakra. This stimulates the thymus gland, which regulates and balances the body’s production of white blood cells, which keep you healthy and disease free.
Hugs can instantly boost oxytocin levels, which heal feelings of loneliness, isolation, and anger.

Hugging has an effect on our dopamine levels, which is the brain’s reward system; it impacts on the release of serotonin, which is connected to our happiness and wellbeing; it has an impact on our stress system.

So what are you waiting for?

Boost your immune system
with a proper healing hug
THIS morning 8::45 - 11:30
with Ralph @ the reception

Ralph's AirBnB guests Amy-Jean & Mark (from London) sent this water coloured drawing of Ralph offering Free HUGS in Hebden Bridge and to all the world (including the animal kingdom, represented by our cat Pickle).
I like the metaphorical magic wand in my hand: a good hug can work magic :)
Thank you so much! This means a lot to me.
I feel honoured - and moved.

PS: Amy-Jean & Mark from London: PLEASE contact me

Remember: hugging STRENGTHENS the immune system.
Social isolation weakens the immune system.
Please THINK:
when hugging: how could bacteria from my hands on your back
reach your nose, mouth - or your hands? [Ralph]
