My Shadow Work Journeyπ₯
Shadow work has been one of the hardest but most transforming things Iβve ever done.
It forced me to face parts of myself I spent years avoiding β the anger, the fear, the people-pleasing, the old wounds, the emotions I pushed down because they felt βtoo much.β, the patterns I kept repeating without understanding why.
But once I started looking inward, everything began to shift.

What Itβs Done for Me
It helped me realize:
β’ some of my reactions came from old wounds, not the present moment
β’ I was carrying emotions I never allowed myself to feel
β’ my triggers were actually invitations to heal
β’ I didnβt need to be βstrongβ all the time β I needed to be honest
β’ there were parts of me that were never broken, just unheard
β’ some of my reactions were old pain showing up again
β’ my patterns had meanings Iβd never explored
β’ I didnβt need to hide my feelings to be strong
β’ healing starts when you finally stop running from yourself

Shadow work didnβt make my life perfect.
But it made me more aware, calmer, and more connected to who I actually am.

How You Can Start
1. Be honest with yourself
Notice moments that hit a nerve. Your reaction has a story behind it.
2. Journal without filters
Write what you really feel β not what you think you βshouldβ feel.
3. Sit with the hard stuff
When something hurts or triggers you, instead of running, ask:
βWhat is this trying to teach me?β
4. Move slowly
Healing isnβt a race. Some days I had clarity, and other days I just had emotions β both are progress.
5. Be gentle with yourself
Shadow work is not self-punishment.
Itβs self-understanding.
And that has been the biggest shift for me.β€οΈ
