Dry January fact no 4- your liver is the most incredible organ with over 500 functions! These include digesting food, combating infection, dealing with toxins - this includes alcohol. If the liver has to process too much alcohol other functions may be negatively affected. Recommended intake is 14 units per week. That’s roughly equivalent to 6 pints 4%ABV beer/week or 1.5 bottles of wine/week
