🎄We were truly lucky this Christmas to receive some beautiful handmade cards from the wonderful children at our local school, St Joseph’s.

😍 Our residents absolutely loved opening them, each card brought smiles, joy, and a real sense of connection. Small gestures like this make such a big difference.

🎄 Festive cheer at Hendon Hall with our Winter Festival 🎅

What a magical day we had! Last week, Signature at Hendon Hall was transformed into a festive wonderland for our Winter Festival, and we are still smiling from all the holiday cheer. 🎄✨

Our grand marquee was the heart of the event, bustling with incredible local stallholders. From stunning jewelry and intricate handmade wood crafts to boutique clothing, unique cards, and decadent luxury chocolates, there was truly a special gift for everyone. 🎁

The highlights of the day included:

🎅 Santa’s Grotto: Bringing smiles (and a few wish lists!) to the children who visited.
🍷 Festive Treats: Guests stayed warm with plenty of mulled wine and delicious mince pies.
🎶 Live Entertainment: Keeping the festive spirit high all afternoon.
🎨 Arts & Crafts: A wonderful intergenerational activity where both the young and the young-at-heart got creative together.
🎬 Cinema Magic: Our cozy cinema was packed with families enjoying classic Christmas films.

Beyond the fun, we are so proud to share that our Grand Raffle raised vital funds for dementia research, a cause very close to our hearts here at Hendon Hall. 💜
It was a joy to see our residents’ families and their children filling our home with laughter and life.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to the stallholders who made the day so special. It truly was the perfect start to the Christmas and Hannukah season!

🎄✨ Gingerbread Magic at Hendon Hall! ✨🎄

Our residents have been busy rolling up their sleeves and unleashing their creativity as part of the Signature Gingerbread House Competition 2025 — and the results are truly sweet! 🍪🏠

This festive activity has been a wonderful way for residents and team members to come together, share laughs, and create something special. From icing-covered rooftops to colourful candy details, these gingerbread houses were built with teamwork, imagination, and plenty of festive cheer.

Extra points are awarded for resident involvement, and we’re proud to say this was a truly collaborative and inclusive experience here at Hendon Hall 💛

Our team recently had the chance to take a well-deserved break and enjoy our Staff Christmas Party — an evening filled with laughter, great food, and festive cheer 🎉🥂

After a busy year of caring for our residents and supporting one another, it was lovely to see everyone relax, unwind, and celebrate together. Moments like these remind us just how special our team is and how much we value the dedication, compassion, and hard work they bring every single day.

Many of you know Dan Fox as our fantastic physiotherapist, but this week he also shared his knowledge by giving an amazing talk on the origins of Hanukkah.

With Hanukkah beginning this week, it was a wonderful opportunity to learn, reflect, and celebrate together. We are proud to recognise and celebrate all those in our community who observe Hanukkah.

Our residents enjoyed a wonderfully calming and uplifting Reiki session. 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️

We were delighted to welcome Mary, who introduced our residents to the gentle practice of Reiki — a holistic technique that promotes relaxation, wellbeing, and positive energy.

Everyone loved learning about the benefits and experiencing the peaceful atmosphere Mary created. Moments like these support wellness of the mind, body, and spirit here at Hendon Hall. 💜

A real-life Emmy moment! ✨🏆💜

We had a very special visit today — Andy’s daughter, Lucie, brought in her Emmy award to share with us!

Lucie is the Executive Producer of “Surviving October 7th: We Will Dance Again,” which won Outstanding Current Affairs Documentary 2025.

Such an inspiring achievement, and a real treat for everyone to see the award up close! 🌟
