Barnet is home to us all, we are one community of many peoples. Today’s horrific attack on local Jewish people isn’t the community Barnet is, or wants to be. We are one, and we will respond with the care, kindness and unity that are the hallmarks of our beautiful borough.

Our services remain open to serve our community.

Influence the future of PIP by responding to the Government call for evidence. Let's make sure PIP fully meets the needs of Disabled people.

Do you have experience of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)?

Join the over 10,000 people who’ve already responded to the Government call for evidence as part of its review of PIP.

The more people who respond to the call for evidence, the harder it will be for the Government to ignore Disabled people’s experiences and needs.

🔗 Find out how to respond to the Government review of PIP and what you could include in your response: https://www.campaignfordisabilityjustice.org.uk/responding_to_the_government_review_of_pip

⏰ The closing day for submissions is 28 May.

Important survey results from Campaign for Disability Justice about work capability assessments.

Thank you for taking part in our snap survey on work capability assessments.

The outcome of this ‘tick-box’ assessment can mean the difference between the higher rates of out-of-work benefits and often years of severe hardship.

Over half the survey respondents said that the medical and supporting evidence they submitted during the assessment was not accurately recorded.

We’ll be using your experiences to tell the true story in a mini campaign in the coming weeks.

We really hope you’ll get behind it.

Last chance to respond to Campaign for Disability Justice survey. Give your experiences of work capability assessments.

Evidence shows that work capability assessments are often inconsistent, inaccurate and ineffective for complex, fluctuating and multiple conditions.

Is this your experience, too? Please tell us by completing this short survey: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/AL0R2J/

By sharing personal experiences with Ministers and officials, we can help them to understand the impact of the policies they create and why change is needed.

Heard what happens when services are shaped by people with lived experience?

Read our guest blog by journalism student, Michael O’Connell, on how we make access, community & inclusion part of everyday life in the two libraries we run.

From dyslexia‑friendly displays to warm, welcoming spaces: this is the impact of Disabled‑led services.
