International Day of Disabled People reminds us that disability justice is inseparable from other forms of discrimination. The barriers we face mirror those faced by all marginalised groups. Our struggles connect us. Our solidarity is our strength.

The media often distorts our stories, framing injustice as a “one off” or exaggerates extreme stories, it hides the truth of systemic inequality. That’s why solidarity matters. Intersectionality is strategy. When we join up, we challenge the narratives that hold all of us back.
