Request for Newspaper Delivery to Mockley Manor Care Home,

I’m writing on behalf of the residents and staff at Mockley Manor Care Home in Ullenhall. We have recently found ourselves without a newspaper delivery service.

Our residents greatly enjoy starting each day with a copy of their favourite newspaper and we even have a resident delivery man who likes to take them round to other residents.

- *Current need:* Daily (Mon‑Sun) newspaper delivery, preferably morning

If anyone can help us it would mean a lot to the residents—many of whom rely on the paper for news, puzzles and a sense of routine.

What a marvellously messy time we had starting Christmas off early making our own salt dough ornaments!

Residents rolled out, cut and made impressions on their salt dough, we are letting them air dry for 3 days and then soon we will be painting them! Lots of fun had by all this morning, even Rachael our Care Home Manager didn’t manage to get away without being covered in a dusting of flour 🤣

We had a game of A Question Of Sport today and there were some really difficult questions, pitting two teams against each other they battled it out until the final round 🙈 (it was full of tricky questions 🤣) but Jim’s team JUST pipped the post! Well done Jim!

We may have started to get ever so slightly Christmassy today at Mockley….we made our own little pine cone people using a variety of materials and lots of glitter! Residents chose their materials and showed us how they wanted them arranged, we think they are rather cute!

We had such a lovely morning wrapping residents up in blankets and coats and taking them outside in small groups to enjoy some winter sunshine and a hot cup of tea or coffee! There were some very happy faces and Roger was most amused to try on my hat 😍

Then we started prepping our pine cones for our activity tomorrow by getting messy and covering them in glitter and clue….lets see what we make with them tomorrow…

What a lovely family get together today! Michael enjoyed lunch together with his lovely wife, daughter, brother and niece! A table full of smiles! We love to see family gatherings like this and love to accommodate it 😍🥰 what a gorgeous bunch they all are too ❤️

Residents chose a very apt film for today’s weather at the Cinema, Singin’ in the rain!

Residents were laughing all the way through and we had a little sing song, it was a lovely morning in our lovely cinema! There is a matinee showing today too! 😍
