We had a wonderful time celebrating May Day out in the garden! 🌸

Our residents took part in a beautiful Maypole dance, and we’re so proud to say it was a great success. Everyone got involved, carefully weaving the ribbons and enjoying the music together in the fresh air – it was lovely to see so many smiles and hear the laughter all around the garden.

The joy and enthusiasm from our residents made the whole activity truly special, and it was clear how much they loved being part of such a traditional celebration.

A truly lovely May Day filled with fun, movement, fresh air, and togetherness! 🌼

Now that’s what we call relaxed! Glenys loved her spa treatment and really enjoyed the feel of avocado on her skin and the coolness on her eyes.The cooling effect of chilled cucumber slices acts as a cold compress, constricting dilated blood vessels to reduce swelling and avocado is rich in vitamins A C an E and provides collagen support! Amazing what nature can do for us without the need for any chemicals!

We are SO excited to be beginning a new tradition at Mockley Manor tomorrow, a feat that we have not yet attempted but has been long in the making, staff will all be in red white or blue and we will be dancing the May Pole with our very own Pole made by the very clever Martyn! Please come and join us or watch this space for the video!! Will we manage it or become tangled up in ribbons?! Who knows!

This morning our residents put in a fantastic effort during our armchair exercise session 💪

Everyone worked hard, joining in with great enthusiasm and determination. It was wonderful to see so much energy and positivity, with lots of encouragement shared between residents along the way.

A brilliant start to the day, keeping active, boosting wellbeing, and most importantly having fun together 😊

Today we enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing pamper session as residents made their very own homemade face masks using fresh avocado 🥑

Everyone got involved in mixing and preparing the masks before applying them, followed by cucumber slices placed gently over their eyes 🥒 for that extra soothing touch.

There were plenty of smiles and laughter as we embraced a bit of self-care together. It was a lovely way to unwind, feel refreshed, and enjoy a calming, spa-like experience in the comfort of our home 💚

Today was Superhero Day in the home, and what a wonderful day it turned out to be! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

We began by getting creative, colouring in our very own superhero masks – each one as unique and vibrant as the person wearing it. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and a real sense of fun as everyone brought their characters to life.

Once our superheroes were ready, we asked two special questions:
✨ “What superpower would you like to have?”
✨ “What is your superpower in real life?”

The answers we received were truly heartwarming. From wishes for flying and invisibility, to real-life superpowers like being happy, caring towards others, and making people smile – it was a lovely reminder that real superheroes walk among us every day.

A joyful, thoughtful day filled with creativity and meaningful conversations 💫

We made the most of the beautiful sunshine this morning with a wonderfully relaxing rock painting session outdoors ☀️🎨

Residents enjoyed getting creative, turning simple stones into colourful little works of art. From bright patterns to cheerful designs, each rock was as unique as the person who painted it!

It was such a lovely, calm way to spend the morning—soaking up the sun, sharing laughs, and enjoying each other’s company. A perfect start to the day 💛
