Residents had a lovely morning watching a choice they’ve asked for, The Shawshank Redemption starring Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins, there was a lot of commentary,chat and residents putting themselves in the shoes of the actors. A lovely morning! next Mondays Movie has already been requested….Shirley Valentine!

Today we celebrated Friendship Day with lots of laughter, teamwork, and a little bit of friendly competition! 💛

Our residents took part in fun team-building activities including the classic “Fox, Chicken and Corn” challenge 🦊🐔🌽, the ever-entertaining post-it note guessing game, and a lovely “What Have We Got in Common” activity that sparked conversations and connections.

It was wonderful to see everyone working together, supporting each other, and sharing so many smiles. Days like today remind us just how important friendship, communication, and togetherness really are. 💫

What a lovely day we’ve had today! 💛

Our residents enjoyed some well-deserved pampering with relaxing foot spas and soothing foot massages, followed by a visit from the hairdressers to help everyone feel their best. The afternoon was filled with music, dancing, plenty of smiles, and of course… delicious cake! 🎶💃🍰

It’s days like these that bring so much joy, laughter, and a real sense of wellbeing to our home. 💫

Today at the home we focused on wellness and relaxation 🧘‍♀️✨

Residents enjoyed a calming day filled with hand, head and shoulder massages, gentle meditation, and Tai Chi. We also spent time unwinding while watching a soothing aquarium and listening to peaceful music.

It was a lovely, tranquil day that helped everyone feel relaxed, refreshed, and uplifted

We’re getting ready for one of our favourite annual traditions here at Mockley Manor – our Grand National celebration on 8th April! 🐎🎉

Every year, our amazing staff take to the “track” on their very own hobby horses, racing around the home to the delight of our residents. It’s always full of laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of cheering from the sidelines!

Our residents absolutely love being part of the fun, placing their bets, picking their favourites, and enjoying the lively atmosphere. We can’t wait to do it all again and make more wonderful memories together! 🏇💛

Lots of fun today making giant dominos and then playing together! We had a job learning the proper rules from Jim and Norman, it took us a few tries but we finally understood, then we had a big game upstairs and Robert and Julie were happy to win one game each! Well done!!!

We can’t believe how quickly our little caterpillars have grown over the last week! Smaller than a grain of rice last Monday and today they are around 2inches long! Keep your eyes peeled for their next growth spurt!
