The Bell Surgery

The Bell Surgery Friendly and welcoming GP surgery in the heart of Henley-On-Thames

We are a friendly, dedicated and caring team of clinical and non-clinical professionals delivering high quality care to the residents of Henley-On-Thames and surrounding areas. Established in 1910, the surgery moved to our new premises in 1992, which benefits from being adjacent to Townlands Memorial Hospital, with all the additional facilities that it provides. The Bell Surgery is a training practice and we have GP Registrars working as part of the team, training to become the GPs of the future!

Falls Prevention Drop-In at Henley Library on Tuesday 11th November, 10am–1pm.
This free event is all about helping people stay safe and independent at home. We’ll have practical advice and demonstrations on things like:
• Preventing falls at home
• Making sure walking aids are safe and fit properly
• Tips for staying safe and independent
There’s no need to book — anyone can drop in at any time. It’s a great chance for older adults, carers, and families to get advice and meet our friendly team.
We’d love your help spreading the word! You could share the poster (attached) on your noticeboard, newsletter, website, or social media so more people can benefit.
Thanks so much!

With the winter months here, it is important for unpaid carers to get their flu jabs – both to protect themselves and to protect those they’re caring for.

UK emergency alert test 7 September
A UK-wide emergency alert test will take place on Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm.
Mobile phones will emit a loud siren and vibrate - even if they are on silent.
Whilst these alerts aim to protect the public in emergencies, they could put victim-survivors of domestic abuse at risk - especially those who rely on hidden phones as part of their safety plan.
Where possible, please let survivors know they can opt out of this test. Find information on how to disable alerts for safety reasons at Opting out of emergency alerts
