🌍🎗️ Today is World Cancer Day 🎗️🌍
I’ve learned firsthand never to take your health for granted. Never in a million years did I think I would get cancer—I kept fit, ate a healthy diet, wasn’t overweight, and didn’t drink or smoke. I assumed colon cancer only affected those who were overweight, ate poorly, drank, or smoked. But cancer does not discriminate.
It can affect anyone—young or old, slim or overweight, male or female, rich or poor.
If something feels "off" in your body—whether it's blood in your stool or urine, a persistent cough, ongoing stomach issues, unusual lumps, or moles that change shape or color—please seek medical advice. Most of the time, it’s nothing serious, but sometimes, it is. Ignoring symptoms can be dangerous.
Early diagnosis makes treatment easier and improves outcomes. If your doctor dismisses your concerns but you still feel something isn’t right, go back. That happened to me. Don’t be afraid to seek a second opinion—you know your own body best!
Let’s raise awareness, encourage early detection, and support those fighting this disease. 💜🎗️ #
