Dear patients, our patient triage survey results are now in!

We would like to thank everyone who replied to the triage survey, which focused specifically on the 'I need help with a medical issue' part of our triage system.

This survey was the first patient survey created by the PPG, and we are thrilled by the community engagement: an amazing 172 patients shared their views. Our thanks go to every one of you for your help shaping the future of the surgery.

2 out of 3 respondents are satisfied with the triage system.

9 out of 10 respondents found the triage system easy to find on the website.

9 out of 10 respondents found the information about the surgery turnaround time clear.

9 out of 10 respondents found the form easy to complete.

8 out 10 respondents found the information about confirming the case was not an emergency clear.

What happens next?

While the overall views were positive, the survey highlighted some areas for improvement for both the system and the processes used for the medical triage.

The triage system is provided by Accurx, a third-party supplier to the NHS. The surgery team will now pass the suggestions for improvement mentioned by respondents to Accurx, for us to consider in future system upgrades.
In addition, the surgery team, supported by the PPG, will also review its processes in light of the comments raised by the community.
