It's been a privilege to support, care and guide so many lovely families the past few months.
We feel it is such an honour when a family chooses 'Cherished' to act as guardian to look after their loved one and conduct their farewell.
Receiving these beautiful cards and extremely kind and generous gifts from families leaves us totally speechless!🤗🤍

We would like to say a big thank you to
John Watkins for the use of his field and farmyard for parking over the last few weeks for 3 funerals, which gathered in total close to 500 mourners. John continued to lay straw down for access allowing mourners to park in his field despite the soft ground conditions from the inclement weather. We very much appreciate his invaluable support and the work he goes to.

We are delighted to have been awarded Regional Runner Up at The People's Awards which are run by The Natural Death Centre (Association of Natural Burial Grounds-ANBG)

What are the awards? 👉 The People’s Awards celebrate the individuals behind the service - the care they give, the personal touches they bring, and the meaningful impact natural burial ground staff have on the families who choose to hold a funeral there.

The feedback forms which families send back after a funeral are scrutinised by the trustees and staff of the NDC. The results are logged and thoroughly analysed, and a winner and a close runner up in each of the eight qualifying regions across the UK are identified.

Sending much love to all the families we have cared for and supported this year, and previous years. You are very much in our thoughts this Christmas time. I raise a glass in remembrance to loved ones who are missed so dearly.

In Memory of David Henry Price
Of Osbaston, Monmouth (formerly of Grosmont)
Who passed away on 7th November 2025, aged 85 years.
Dearly loved Husband of Lynn. Loving Father of Dan, Nina, and Sam, and a much loved Grandad, Brother and Uncle.
David's funeral will be held at Hereford Crematorium on Tuesday 16th December 2025 at 1:15pm and afterwards at The Angel Inn, Grosmont.
Donations given in memory of David will benefit Parkinson's UK and may be left at the service or sent c/o Cherished Funerals, Longtown, Hereford, HR2 0LX. Contact Kate Gladwyn 01873 860575.

The beautiful St Mary's Church, Cusop where we conducted a local gentleman's funeral service and interment. A handmade willow basket, natural floral arrangements, a piano composition played by a close friend, the hymn Jerusalem, many wonderful tributes given by family and friends, and the song ' One Way' by The Levellers made this a fitting farewell for such a respected gentleman who supported his community in many roles 🤍

Today's Remembrance Sunday is even more poignant for us, as Harry, our Son embarks on his CCF training with the Army at Senior School, and wears his Army uniform with great pride.

It was evident by the many hundreds in attendance at St Andrew's Church, Allensmore on Saturday of how loved, respected, and adored this lady was to so many, and will be so very dearly missed.
Rest in peace Jean, and Rise in Glory 🤍
