💍 Huge Congratulations to Mo & Brian! 💍

We’re absolutely delighted to share the wonderful news that our amazing volunteer Mo married her lovely partner Brian last Friday! Finding love later in life is truly something special — a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late for a new chapter. ✨❤️

Their vows were full of joy, laughter… and perhaps a tiny clause about Brian being willingly roped into volunteering with us from now on. (Don’t worry, Brian — we’ll only show you the fun jobs! 😉)

In the most generous gesture, Mo and Brian asked their guests for donations to our Oxygen and Wellness Therapy Centre instead of gifts. Thanks to the kindness of everyone who celebrated with them, a wonderful £180 has been raised for the centre. We are incredibly grateful. 🙏💙

Wishing this fabulous couple a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and plenty of shared volunteer shifts!

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers, Mo and Brian, who are out in town today braving the cold and drizzly weather to spread the word about our upcoming Christmas fundraiser, ‘Joy and Jingle’! ❄️🎄

They’ll be armed with flyers packed with all the details you need about this fun-filled family event — plus a bunch of festive balloons 🎈 to hand out to the little ones.

If you spot them out and about, please give them a warm smile, say hello, and even better, grab a leaflet to learn more about the big day!

Before Humphrey officially starts, we’re hosting a Meet & Greet so you can chat with him, ask questions, and get to know his approach to wellbeing.

🏃‍♂️ Great to see local athlete and Smart Performance Coaching coach Darren back in action today! After 8 weeks post-op, he completed his first run using our anti-gravity treadmill 🙌

Starting cautiously, Darren soon found his rhythm — safely supported while reducing load on his lower limbs and rebuilding confidence with every step.

💪 Fantastic to see this amazing piece of kit helping athletes get back to fitness. We look forward to seeing Darren again soon and following his recovery journey!

Earlier this week we gave you a little teaser about our new reflexologist. Today we want to give you the opportunity to get to know her a little better.

With over 20 years’ experience in reflexology, aromatherapy, and holistic wellness, Lara brings a deeply nurturing, intuitive approach to every session. Having run a busy practice on the Norfolk/Suffolk border for two decades, she now calls Herefordshire home — and we’re so excited to have her joining us.

Lara specialises in supporting clients through stress, overwhelm, hormonal changes, sleep and energy concerns, pregnancy, and emotional wellbeing. Each session is beautifully tailored — combining expert reflexology with carefully chosen essential oils to gently rebalance body and mind.

What truly sets Lara apart is her calm, grounded presence. She believes in creating a safe, nurturing space where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself. Her aim is simple yet profound — to help you leave each treatment feeling lighter, more centred, and restored from the inside out.

We have been made aware that the roadworks on Roman Road have been causing a lot of delays in and around Whitecross area.

If you are travelling from this direction for an appointment at the centre you may need allow yourself a little extra time during the period of this work.

TRAVEL ⚠️ | IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFO - ROMAN ROAD CLOSURE IN HEREFORD (3rd November - 28th November) ⛔️

Motorists are being warned to expect major disruption in the Roman Road, Credenhill, Stretton Sugwas and surrounding areas from tomorrow with roadworks in place until the end of the month and a full road closure in place.

From Herefordshire Highways:

“We need to let you know about some works we're due to do on A4103 Roman Road at the junction of Towtree Lane. We will be carrying out some essential drainage works.

“The works will be taking place under a full road closure, from Monday 3 November 2025, and the project is expected to take up to four weeks to complete.

“The type of works we're doing will mean that the road will be closed for 24 hours each day.

“The fully signed diversion route via A4110 Whitecross / A438 King's Acre / A480
Stretton Sugwas and vice versa.

“There will be marshals on site during the works to assist with any queries regarding access.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Balfour Beatty Living Places, working on behalf of Herefordshire Council, will be carrying out important upgrades to the road and area near the houses, as residents have suffered damage from flooding over the years, we aim to minimise the impact of our work and try to keep all disruption to a minimum, we appreciate your patience.

“The programme of work may change in certain circumstances, such as severe weather. This may happen at short notice and without further notification. All changes will be highlighted on the advance warning signs, which you'll find onsite at the roadworks.
