We had a lovely visit from the Staunton Singers today, spreading Christmas cheer throughout the home with a beautiful selection of carols. 🎶✨ Edwin couldn’t resist getting involved - having been a conductor of services in the past, he made the perfect (and most helpful!) Christmas elf. 🎄🧝‍♂️

What a fantastic evening we had recently at The Courtyard Hereford for our Staff Awards Night, along with Broomy Hill Nursing Home and Holmer Court Care Home! 🌟🏆

The event was a celebration of loyalty, commitment and the core values that shape Ashberry Healthcare. With immense pride, we recognised colleagues for their long service, ranging from 3 years all the way up to an incredible 25 years. Such milestones truly reflect the unwavering commitment of our amazing team.

We also celebrated outstanding attendance, honouring those who consistently show reliability and dedication. Our Employee of the Year for each home was announced, chosen from monthly nominees who demonstrate excellence day in and day out. We were also thrilled to present Wellbeing and Dementia Awareness Awards.

A huge well done to everyone who received an award - you inspire us every day. ✨

Naughty Edwin wanted to help with housekeeping yesterday and had a fall. At the advice of nurse Helen, he now has to rest for 24 hours. 🤣

A lovely day spent doing Christmas arts and crafts, decorating the dining room with paper chains and bunting made from old Christmas cards. We were joined by Karen and her day care ladies, making it even more enjoyable. A well-enjoyed day by all! 🎄✨

What a wonderful day we've had! ❤️ We enjoyed a heart-warming visit from Ted and his very well-behaved human, Stephen, from Pets Therapy - always a highlight for our residents.

Before lunch, everyone got stuck into a festive Christmas quiz, followed by an afternoon of creativity, making our own Christmas egg box trees 🌲✨ A day full of smiles and Christmas spirit!

Weobley High School came to The Weir and started our December off with an amazing start!

They performed songs from their production of The Sound of Music, and it was truly magnificent - absolutely breathtaking! 🎶 There wasn't a dry eye in the house. 🥲

A huge thank you to the talented students for such a beautiful and festive start to the month. 🎄🎶 We look forward to having you return!

Christmas has officially arrived at The Weir!
Why have one tree when you can have four? Our main communal areas are now beautifully decorated and full of festive cheer, while our small library has been left decoration-free for those who prefer a quieter, calmer space at this time of year.

On Thanksgiving, we had a fantastic afternoon playing “Truth or Dare Turkey” with staff and residents. Lots of laughs, silly dares, and festive fun made it a really special way to celebrate together! 🦃🎉
