Energy clearing is part of my daily practice - not just in the work I do with my clients, but in my home, my car and for myself. Even my daughter and my pooch get a ‘brush down’ before we close the day out.
My preference is to use white sage and smudge the spaces I’ve used and that I’ve invited others into. I also like to replenish my crystals with a little ritual, and they always spend a night under the light of a full moon to fully cleanse and recharge once a month. What are your rituals and how do you ensure you shake off what you don’t wish to carry forwards?

New Moon in Aquarius

Tonight brings the beginning of a new lunar cycle with the first new moon of this year in the sign of Aquarius.

The effect of the moon creates subtle energy and frequency shifts that are felt within us throughout its cycle.

The new moon always marks a fresh start - the start of a new cycle - a new beginning.
A wonderful time for reflection, intention setting and rejuvenation. A time to remember who we are at the very core of our essence, when we strip away all the societal conditioning placed upon us and limiting conditions that we place upon ourselves. A time to reacquaint with our authentic self and our truth.

Factor in the energies of the zodiac sign where the moon is positioned. Aquarius is progressive, highly creative, a little rebellious.

How many do you identify with?

A combination of the cold January weather, dark mornings and sometimes (despite our best intentions) not getting our brand spanking New Years resolutions off the ground can result in feelings of low mood, sadness, lack of motivation and tiredness. Rest assured if this is you - totally normal by the way!

So what can we do to eliminate or manage these feelings?……

🎯 Take a minute to reflect on what you HAVE ACHIEVED, what HAS GONE RIGHT and HOW FAR you have come.

🎯 Take a walk. The lack of daylight hours is no joke, since we already know that a lack of sunlight and vitamin D can leave us feeling a bit flat - a stroll at lunchtime can make a world of difference.

🎯 Try for an early night. Do whatever works for you; read a book, take a bubble bath, throw some relaxing essential oils around like lavender or frankincense and practise a little meditation.

We’ve managed another whip around our star 💫 and frankly with all the struggles that we’ve endured collectively just recently, that’s enough to feel proud of! 👍

The Chakra System

We are all, essentially, energy! Everything around us and everything inside of us - energy. Every time we use our senses to see, smell, touch, hear…it’s all vibrational energy which we absorb from the universe through the seven major energy gateways in our bodies - the chakras.

Each of our chakras plays a crucial role in our health and well-being and is responsible for moving this energy through our bodies.

That is why it is so important for us to acknowledge our spiritual health as it is ultimately related to and affects our mental, emotional and physical health too.

I will go in to more detail about each of the chakras, where they are, what they do and how they align so stay tuned for forthcoming posts!

Remember to be mindful of your surroundings, the people and places where we expend our energy and absorb from, how we communicate with others and ourselves. There is a responsibility there - what we put out is what is received.

Grounding is a daily practice for me and my kiddo. Especially whenever we are feeling out of whack 😵‍💫 we take our shoes off and get our bare feet into the earths soil or take a paddle in the sea.
Reconnecting with the Earths 🌍 natural electrical charge is so beneficial and important in our modern world. Mobile phones, PCs, TVs, charging devices, they’re all around us. We wear our devices on our bodies, hold them to our head, gaze into them many times a day and it’s so easy for us to become disconnected.
Most of us live and work above the ground and wear shoes that insulate us from naturally grounding to the earths energy, but taking a little time out to whip your shoes off 👟can make all the difference!

Did you know??…

Grounding yourself in nature regulates our levels of cortisol (the bodies stress hormone) and this in turn helps us to;

✅ Regulate our blood sugar levels
✅ Regulate our metabolism
✅ Reduce inflammation
✅ Improve circulation
……and these are just a few of the many benefits!
