Doug died on the 3rd July 2025 way too soon as most of you know. Doug was a beautiful, kind guy who had lots of great days working the man-trailing with his second love - dogs. Douglas loved dogs with a passion, so instead of floral tributes please could you consider donating to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home via https://www.bdfs.org.uk/notices-and-donations/ as it will be family flowers only.
Doug will be missed by so many.

We were touched to receive a beautiful arrangement of flowers in the office yesterday from a family of someone whose funeral we recently arranged. We're honored to have supported them during such a meaningful and difficult time.

A beautiful send off for a funeral that we arranged today, with a New Orleans Jazz band paging the hearse and playing on entry into the chapel. If this is something you are interested in for a loved one please don't hesitate to contact us at Beltinge & District Funeral Service Ltd.

A poem written especially by our trainee Funeral Director, Hayley.
Global Day of Parents Poem
For those parents who are still here or for those we have lost,
You’ll always be with us and you’ll never be forgot,
We celebrate parents day, for all you have done,
Whether father, mother or grandparents
today we celebrate as one.
When families unite, what a special gift
Really heartwarming, that gives you a lift
Family laughter and memories made
Will always stay with us, today and everyday
So today we shall thank you for all you have done
To me you will always be that special someone
Whether, here with us now or sadly passed away
Know you are loved in every single way

Global Day of Parents is observed every year on June 1st.
This provides us with an opportunity to honour our parents for their selfless dedication and unwavering love. We remember their supportive, caring, nurturing ways, their wisdom, kind words, encouragement, strength and how kind and supportive they were as we grew older. Our parents never stop worrying about us even when we have made our own way in life. For those of us whose parents have passed away, remember that they will always be with you.
