A huge thank you to Harry 'Ben' Hughes and the team at Memoria Faversham & Mid Kent Memorial Park & Crematorium for an impressive display of courtesy and professionalism for the funeral service today.

Your kind gesture to the family was certainly noticed 🧸

It was nice to catch up with everyone at the Crematorium today. Always a pleasure to see and talk to the local funeral directors as well:

A Welch & Sons Funeral Services,

Woollard & Kent Funeral Services Ltd and

W.S. Cole and Son Ltd.

Not to mention the florists and charities that were involved.

The good news is that we have broadband and internet again! So sorry for any delays in replying e-mails. Our phone lines were unaffected of course.

The bad news is Nina is back looking at cat videos when not working.

Found this nugget online. Have anyone tried this back in the day?

This Sunday morning at Herne Bay Funeral Service ...

The bad news: Our broadband router is pretending to be a brick.

The good news: A new one is on its way.

The bad news: It'll be here on Tuesday.

The good news: Our phone lines are still OK though we may take a while answering e-mails, as in an effort to look cool, we all have tiny phones with tinier screens but have old eyes and we need our glasses to look for our glasses. Then forget why we needed them in the first place.

The bad news: No Netflix. Or Sky.

The good news: We're Gen X. We lived before internet was a thing.

The goodest news: Realising the toaster isn't WIFI dependent and Ross and Nina won't go hungry.

Did you know that we are the second oldest funeral firm in Herne Bay as when the time we establised 1999, there was only one independent family firm who are still in existence.

Things have changed so much since then. There are many other firms who have come up since then, not to mention 2 new crematoriums in the last 3 years.

Time doesn't stand still, even in a traditional industry like ours.

We still miss Ron and we keep the standards he set for us.

Here is an early picture of Ron and some kid with a moustache.
