Some Wax is Good!

Did you know that earwax isn’t actually dirty? In fact, it helps protect and clean your ears. Earwax traps dust, moisturises the skin inside your ear canal, and even has antibacterial properties.

But sometimes, wax can build up too much—causing blocked ears, muffled hearing, or even discomfort. That’s when professional help is needed.

At Hertford Hearing, microsuction offers a safe, gentle way to remove excess wax. Unlike cotton buds (which can push wax deeper), microsuction uses a small suction device under direct vision to carefully clear the ear canal.

On this day 19th September - 1839 Birth of George Cadbury, the chocolate manufacturer. A Quaker, he believed in taking care of the welfare of his workforce, and he created a model village for his employees at Bournville, Birmingham. Who knew? We hear all sorts of interesting facts in our lovely waiting room
