📢 Important Surgery Closure Notice

Our surgery will be closed on Tuesday 16th September from 12:30pm for a Protected Learning Time (PLT) session and will reopen again at 5:30pm.

👉 If you need medical help during this time:

☎️ Call 111 for non-emergency support

🚨 Call 999 in an emergency

⚠️ Please note: Seated Pilates will not be running on Tuesday 16th September due to the closure.

✨ But don’t worry — it will go ahead as normal on Friday 19th September.

We’re pleased to share that Everyone Active will be running a brand new Falls Prevention Class here in the community, led by their experienced exercise referral instructor, Gill (a familiar face to many of our patients 👋).

🗓 Fridays | ⏰ 11:00–11:45am
📍 Hartham Leisure Centre, Hertford

Whether you’ve experienced a fall before or simply want to feel stronger, steadier, and more confident.

Gill has completed specialist training, and the sessions are based on evidence-based programmes (FaME & Otago), proven to help reduce falls and improve balance.

💷 Concession pay-as-you-go options are available if you’d like to try the class before joining the full scheme.

🩺 Have you heard of NHS Advice & Guidance?

It’s a process where your GP (or another clinician) can get expert advice directly from a hospital specialist, often without needing to send you for a full outpatient appointment. This helps patients get the right care more quickly and can reduce waiting times.

👉 Example: If you see your GP about hip pain, they might seek advice from a consultant who recommends an X-ray. You get a care plan agreed straight away, and only see the hospital if needed.

The Herts & West Essex ICB, alongside the Patient Engagement Forum, wants to hear your views on how Advice & Guidance is working locally.

🌊 Today’s the big day! Our practice manager Rachael is starting her incredible 33.3km ultramarathon swim in Lake Geneva to support Leman Hope! 🏊‍♀️✨
Cancer treatment can be incredibly isolating for young people, with long periods away from friends, family, and school. After treatment, rebuilding life is tough.
Leman Hope offers a bespoke adventure that helps young survivors gain confidence, make new friends, rediscover independence, and find hope for their future. It’s a true restart.
